Maintenance

WorkshopQuadrant personnel provide on-going maintenance to range of simulators across three locations. All simulator maintenance personnel are highly trained and, in addition to a team of experienced senior maintenance staff, Quadrant is active in recruiting younger technical staff and giving them the training and experience necessary to support the business in the future. As with all areas of Quadrant’s business operations, these locations all operate in accordance with the Company’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies.

QUADRANT TRAINING CENTRE, BURGESS HILL

The Quadrant Training Centre is co-located with Quadrant’s main facility at Burgess Hill, some 20 minutes south of Gatwick airport with excellent road and rail links between the two. Capable of housing up to 4 Full Flight Motion Simulators the skilled and experienced maintenance team operates in 24/7 shifts and are always on hand to provide support to customers and users of the simulators. Significant on-going investment is made both in personnel and spares to ensure that maximum possible availability is achieved on the simulators with downtime at an absolute minimum.

Military Cockpit MaintenanceRAF LINTON-ON-OUSE, YORKSHIRE, TUCANO SIMULATORS

Since 2004 Quadrant personnel have been providing maintenance to the Royal Air Force Tucano simulators located at RAF Linton-On-Ouse
in Yorkshire. Working closely with MOD personnel, serving members of the RAF and other sub-contractors, the 4 simulators and 6 procedural trainers are maintained at exceptional levels of reliability in support of pilot training for trainees flying the Tucano T1 aircraft. This highly successful programme is set to continue for several more years and we at Quadrant are exceptionally proud to support such a fundamental aspect of the UK’s Defence Capability.

RAF WADDINGTON, LINCOLNSHIRE, SENTRY E-3D SIMULATOR

Delivered by QUEST Flight Training (a Quadrant Group Joint Venture with Rockwell Collins), the Sentry Aircrew Training Service operates at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire providing a full flight simulator, maintenance and delivery of training in support of the United Kingdom’s Sentry AWACS Aircraft Fleet. Quadrant Systems has, since 2000, been the Design Authority for this Simulator. The QUEST maintenance personnel work to the same high standards as the Quadrant personnel at Burgess Hill and RAF Linton-On-Ouse and knowledge and experience is regularly shared between these teams. Quadrant have undertaken several successful upgrades on the Sentry Simulator which, with simulated air to air refuelling and other military-specific enhancements, is a highly complex device. This programme continues to deliver outstanding levels of reliability and availability and is expected to continue to at least 2025 and possibly beyond.
